Taste of Asheville 2009

Asheville Independent Restaurant Association Dining Guide

On November 19, 2009 the Taste of Asheville was held at The Venue located at 21 North Market Street. The Venue is an event facility near the center of downtown Asheville offering a spacious floor plan with approximately 13,000 square feet with three unique sections; the Market Street level, the Mezzanine and the second floor with a beautiful balcony overlooking Market Street. It is a beautiful location presenting a French cottage setting of exposed brick walls, barn ceilings and vintage tile floors.

The Taste of Asheville was the debut of the Asheville Independent Restaurant Association 2010 Main Course Dining program (MCD). MCD is an opportunity to purchase a coupon book for 'Buy One Get One Free Entree' in 18 AIR restaurants. Purchasing this book for $50.00 entitles the bearer to over $600.00 in BOGO values! However, as a unique entry fee, Ashevillians could enter for the price of a coupon book and receive the coupon book as well. For significant others or friends, it was only an additional $25.00 per person. Exceeding 300 guests, the evening was well attended and a complete success.

The Taste of Asheville offered culinary delights from the 18 AIR restaurants participating in MCD along with local beer selections as well as wine from local wine distributors.
