Proposed Bill Can Create Jobs for Craft Beer Producers

According to an article by Cullen Dirner on ABCNews.com, a proposed bipartisan bill could reduce excise taxes for brewers with less than 6 million barrels a year!  This could cut the tax in half to $3.50 per barrel for the first 60,000 barrels that these small beer producers.  The idea is to provide this extra revenue so the breweries can afford to hire additional staff.  A Harvard study states that it could create nearly 3,000 jobs the first year alone, increasing by hundreds of jobs in subsequent years.

Yes, this is conjecture at this point - but so are all stimulus packages.  This particular bill could have incredible results for our local Asheville and Western North Carolina breweries.
