White Horse Black Mountain

White Horse Black Mountain is a 4400 sq. ft. music and arts venue in beautiful, historic, downtown Black Mountain, NC, in the midst of the spectacular Western North Carolina mountains. Founders/managers Bob Hinkle and Kim Hughes have renovated the old Chevrolet dealership into a great place to see and hear music & arts, have a drink and relax.

Bob is a music/entertainment veteran of 40 years having been an artist (The Good Earth, The Virginians and solo and group LP's), and a renowned personal manager (J. Geils Band, Harry Chapin, Manfred Mann, Etta James, Naked Eyes, Tom Chapin, co-management of Kenny Rogers, Dottie West and others). He CEO’d record companies and has been consultant to many of the industry’s most significant companies. Kim Hughes had a successful opera career in New York for 15 years (still singing) and, together with Bob, ran a multi-use venue in Brooklyn, New York - the Healing Rain Space.

As Kim and Bob’s new project, White Horse Black Mountain seats 225 cabaret style and offers additional standing room, making it a 300 capacity hall. It boasts state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems, 30 ft. barrel ceiling (helping create wonderful acoustics), unique wood and copper bar, retail shop and the hospitality this area has become famous for.

White Horse Black Mountain is a non-smoking venue (smoking is available in an outdoor seating area) with easy parking and easy ticketing. They feature open seating, server or bar service and snacks (i.e. hot dogs, deli sandwiches, nachos and etc). They serve beer on draft and bottled as well as a selection of wines, soft drinks, coffee and tea.
I'm sure Bob and Kim will look forward to seeing you at White Horse Black Mountain.
Check out their calendar for July.
