Homemade Chicken Nugget Recipe - Save your kids from the pink slim!

This is the perfect recipe for families.  So many kids will only eat chicken fingers these days.  But what about the ‘pink slim’ that is used at fast food restaurants!?  If you’ve watched the ‘pink slim’ video like I have and you’re nervous about allowing your children to eat that kind of nasty mess.  Again, this is the perfect recipe for you and your family.  Easy to make chicken fingers that your kids will love.  You can even tweak the recipe for that picky eater of yours to ensure that he or she will chow down every time you make these.

Homemade Chicken Nugget Recipe

1 Cup  Cornflakes, crushed
½ Cup  Parmesan Cheese, grated
½ tsp  Parsley, dry and chopped fine
½ tsp  Salt
¼ tsp  Black Pepper
⅛ tsp Garlic Powder
¼ Cup  Ranch salad dressing
1 Lb  Chicken Breasts, boneless and skinless, cut into 1-inch cubes


Combine the following ingredients into a shallow bowl:  cornflakes, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Place the dressing in another bowl. Toss the chicken cubes in the dressing and then roll in the cornflake mixture. Place the breaded chicken in a greased 11” x 7” x 2” baking pan.

Bake, uncovered, at 400° F for 12 - 15 minutes or until juices run clear. Serve with additional dressing for dipping or whatever type of sauce your youngster loves.  Mine will choose a combo of ketchup and BBQ sauce!

Make a double or triple size batch, bake and freeze what you don’t use.  Pull them out of the oven and bake at 400° F for 12 - 15 minutes just like when they are fresh.  Perfect every time and saves on preparation time for the next meal.
