FILO - your convenient neighborhood European Cafe

My wife introduced me to this café, it’s a favorite hangout when she wants to be out and about having a treat while web-surfing or downloading from i-tunes.  FILO has a relaxed atmosphere with a variety of treats to choose from both food and beverage.

Add to that regular local musicians serenading you and of course available Wi-Fi and it becomes a convenient neighborhood café.  The owner intended for folks to love it for that very reason as you can learn from their home page:
FILO is the creation of pastry chef Maria Papanastasiou who had a dream of bringing European café culture to Asheville.  A dream born of summers spent in Greece, savoring lazy afternoon with friends at the local café.  “In Europe, life revolves around this special place.  I wanted to bring that here.”

The selections can be nice pastries, Greek desserts, cookies, cake, muffins, scones or even a variety of savory foods and sandwiches – change it up to keep it new for your-self.

Of course, you can do the same with the beverage selection ordering cappuccino, beer, wine, orangina or one of her hot tea choices.

Whatever your choice Maria takes care to ensure it will be fantastic.

Maria is a pastry chef so remember to check her out for weddings and special occasions; she has some very unique ideas and talent.
