Isis Restaurant & Music Hall - West Asheville's newest addition comes with a little history

My wife and I celebrated our thirteenth anniversary a couple days early.  We decided to try a new spot in town that I recently found out about.  It’s a music hall offering a full menu, bar and wine list.  While the music hasn’t officially begun (the first is scheduled for December 7), we still made plans to have dinner.  The menu is small but intriguing.  The ingredients are obviously fresh with many local items being used.  The cuisine style is Southern influenced international.

The food was amazing.  Service was attentive with a smile.  The wine list is not large but there are some great finds!  I ordered the Daniel Soberanes Vineyard Santa Lucia Pinot Noir.  This is a wine that while I am familiar with it have not had it until now.  You will definitely smell and taste Santa Lucia which opened up beautifully.  Wonderful juicy medium dark cherry with a touch of tartness and spice delivering a well balanced Pinot.

Description
The original Isis Theatre was built in 1937 and screened its last film in 1957 and has been restored to make this historic theatre into what is now Isis Restaurant & Music Hall. The family owned and operated business hopes to bring back what Isis was originally, a place that brought people together and entertained the community. And with that, a place that has great energy, even better food, local and regional music to get down to and just a good spot for a neighborhood hang.

 Atmosphere
Modern urban infused with art deco offering clean lines and open space.  The ‘reclaimed’ elements give it a homey feel that keeps the experience warm and inviting.  The multiple rooms vary while keeping a seam-less feel.  The large outdoor patio is partially covered on the side of the building next to some green space, the parking lot and across from Tolliver’s Crossing.  The dining room is open with large windows facing both Haywood Road and their large patio.  The main bar separates the dining room from the semi-open kitchen as well as the music hall.  The music hall has more urban seating in front of the stage along with great lighting and acoustics.  Above is the balcony with additional seating and great views of the stage.  The lounge offers private space with a second bar and a baby grand piano.
